Tanginika has been dancing since age 4. Her grandfather "papi" taught her how to dance merengue and she learned how to dance salsa by watching and imitating one of her all time idols, singer, actress, and sex symbol in the 70s and 80s, Puerto Rican internationally-renouned vedette Iris Chacón. Since then, she has taken formal instruction in world, contemporary, and Latin ballroom dancing, performed folkloric Puerto Rican dance under the directorship of Maestra Sonia Rodríguez in Ballet Folklórico Viajaní, and continued on to take bellydancing, which she started in 2002 and has been dancing it since. She bellydances in private events and is part of Isis' Academy of Performing Arts in Bedford, TX (http://www.isisandthestardancers.com/RisingStars/Tanginika.htm).
Salsa is her other passion and she dances it often. She is passionate about music and dancing and often says she should be in Dancing with the Stars!
